Episode 033: In Which We Make Quilty Resolutions Dec 18 2010
Dec 18th, 2010 by quilter
It's that time of year! Whether or not you like making New Year's Resolutions, setting goals for ourselves at any time can help motivate and focus us on growing as quilters. In this episode, I give some tips for making goals (or resolutions) that are useful and may actually be able to be kept!
If you want to check out the website I got some background material from, visit www.topachievement.com.
Congratulations to Carolyn A--the winner of the holiday challenge drawing! Woop Woop!
I put the call out for about five volunteers who are experienced in applique--any method, machine or hand. Let me know if you're willing to be part of a panel discussion for an upcoming episode.
I've also launched TWO new challenges! Check out the Challenge tab at the top of this page for the stash mystery challenge, and check out the Resolution tab for the resolution challenge (that's not really a challenge, rather, another motivational-type thing).

I loved this particular podcast. Just great. I tried to go to the other page but it gave me a warning that there could be malware on it so…I am a new quilter and am not going to make too many resolutions that are unrealistic for me since I don’t always know what I am doing. Tutorials, local quilt guild, podcasts and books are my teachers so don’t tell me wrong stuff. LOL
1. Read complete book of Hand Quilting 2. Make one charity quilt 3. Finish 4 blocks of hand appliqued quilt blocks for the Night Before Christmas quilt by September. They are very time consuming. 4. Make a quilted jacket I have purchased fabric for.
Thanks again for the great podcasts. It ranks on top of my listening posts.

Hey, Lori–I just checked the resolutions page and it seems to be fine. My sweeper didn’t pick anything up on it so I’m not sure what triggered your malware, although some virus protection programs don’t like any active links so one of my widgets may have set it off. In any case, I’ve definitely added your resolutions to the list–thanks! Sandy H
